8-day Safari Program

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

You will be picked up from Kilimanjaro Airport by your driver and driven to Arusha town, where you will be dropped off at the hotel for an overnight stay. The transfer from the airport to the hotel will take approximately 45 minutes.

Meals included: lunch and dinner.

DAY 2: ARUSHA - TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

The safari to Tarangire National Park starts at 08:30 am and lasts for about 2 hours. This park is often referred to as the ‘home of elephants’, providing a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, lions, giraffes, and even tree-climbing pythons. After a full day of game driving in Tarangire, in the late evening, you will drive to Manyara (Mto wa Mbu) for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 3: MANYARA – LAKE NATRON

After breakfast at 8:00 am, drive to Lake Natron with a good view of the Rift Valley wall, crossing Engaruka village of the Maasai towards Lake Natron, where you can have a view of Mt. Oldonyo Lengai (The Mountain of God), which is an active volcanic mountain. Lake Natron is the favorite place for flamingos and is a breeding site for them due to the low number of their enemies and ample food for the young to grow.

DAY 4: LAKE NATRON - SERENGETI

Today, you will drive to the shore of Lake Natron and take a walking tour around the lake. Later, you will drive back to the lodge and continue driving to Serengeti National Park, with game drives en route through the Loliondo Game Controlled Area, where you will have evening game drives at the northern part of Serengeti National Park.

DAY 5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

From early in the morning, you will embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti, searching for big game animals engaging in various activities such as fighting, playing, hunting, and mating. You will continue with a game drive until sunset when you will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 6: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Another full day of game drives in Serengeti National Park. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Tented Lodge.

DAY 7: SERENGETI- NGORONGORO CRATER

Wake up early in the morning and drive for 2 to 3 hours to Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you can embark on a game drive inside the crater, the only place where you can spot black rhinos and all big game animals such as buffalo, elephants, lions, and many others. Lunch will take place at the picnic site on the crater floor. In the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 8: LAKE EYASI

Early in the morning, wake up for an early breakfast and drive to Lake Eyasi; it will take two hours. Here, you can experience the real bushmen, the Hadzabe, and join them for hunting. Later, you will meet another tribe, the Datoga, who are blacksmiths and can show you how they make ornaments using local methods. After these activities, you will drive to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.
