DAY 2: LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will be picked up at 8:30 am to drive to Lake Manyara National Park, which will take 2 hours. This park is famous for its green scenery, varied birdlife, tree-climbing lions, hippos, and baboons. Additionally, the park is home to a variety of bird species, including migratory birds such as flamingos and water birds like pelicans, egrets, ducks, geese, and storks. Here, you will enjoy a full-day game drive before driving to the lodge in the late evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 3: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Enjoy an early breakfast at 8:00 am. Then, embark on a game drive en route to Serengeti National Park. Serengeti is the largest and most famous park in Tanzania, known worldwide for its endless plains, wildebeest migration, and herds of lions and other predators such as hyenas, cheetahs, and leopards. Crocodiles can be found in the Grumeti River, as well as hippos, giraffes, antelopes, and gazelles. Dinner and overnight stay will be in the heart of Serengeti.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 4-5: SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

From early in the morning, you will embark on a full-day game drive in Serengeti, searching for big game animals engaging in various activities such as fighting, playing, hunting, and mating. You will continue with a game drive until sunset when you will drive back to the camp/lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Lake Victoria

After an early breakfast, you will begin the journey to Lake Victoria, the largest lake in Africa and the second largest freshwater lake in the world. The region around Lake Victoria is one of the most densely populated in Africa, with several million people living on its shores. Due to its somewhat remote location, away from the tourist hot spots, the area offers a different side of Tanzania. You will have the opportunity to experience the lives of the local people – seeing the fishermen at work or the children playing in the school’s playground. You will spend the night at a campsite.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 6: SERENGETI- NGORONGORO

Wake up early in the morning and drive for 2 to 3 hours to Ngorongoro Crater. Here, you can embark on a game drive inside the crater, which is the only place where you can spot black rhinos and all big game animals such as buffalo, elephants, lions, and many others. Lunch will take place at the picnic site on the crater floor. In the afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 7: RIFT VALLEY WALKING

After breakfast, drive to the starting point where you will meet a local guide who will take you to the Rift Valley wall with a good view of Lake Manyara National Park and local villages. This will take you to the late afternoon when you will be picked up with your guide to visit Tarangire National Park for the evening game drive.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 8: TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

From early in the morning, you start a game drive in Tarangire. This park is often referred to as the ‘home of elephants’. You have a great chance to spot elephants in large groups gathering around the Tarangire River. Other animals to be spotted include leopards, lions, giraffes, and even tree-climbing pythons. After a full day game drive in Tarangire, in the late evening, you will drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 9: WATERFALL AND COFFEE EXCUTION-OLPOPONGI

At 9:00 am, you will be collected from your hotel and driven to Moshi to visit Materuni Waterfalls. Materuni is a village located at the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro, which is owned by the Chagga tribe, who live on all sides of the slopes of Mt. Kilimanjaro. This was the first place where coffee plants were introduced for the first time in East Africa. You will learn and join in the process of coffee making, from picking them from the tree, peeling their outer cover, washing and drying them, pounding to remove the second cover, roasting them, grinding to have coffee powder, and making a cup of coffee by yourself, led by the local people using local machines and tools. This cup of coffee is called organic coffee with less caffeine and no chemicals used to treat or boost these local coffee plants.

After coffee, you will visit the waterfalls, which you will walk for 45 minutes to go and 45 minutes back. This waterfall is 90 meters high and looks beautiful, surrounded by an open forest in the village. It has a pool where you can swim, but the water here is very cold due to the elevation of 2400 meters above sea level. Also, you will have a chance to taste local banana beer made from bananas and millets, originating in this place. This is the longest waterfall in the Kilimanjaro region. In the late evening, you will drive to Olpopongi for dinner and overnight.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

DAY 10: OLPOPONGI-KIKULETWA HOT SPRING

Olpopongi is a name in the Maasai language given to a cactus tree; this village is named for the abundance of cacti in the area. Here, you will experience the culture of the Maasai people, observe how they live their lives, sleep in a real Maasai house, participate in traditional dancing, and learn how they use the environment to obtain local medicine. After lunch, you will drive to the hot spring.

At this place, you can swim in the pool in the spring. The water is naturally hot from the rocks, as long as Mt. Kilimanjaro is a volcanic mountain. You will have a nice view of Mt. Kilimanjaro throughout the tour. Later, you can continue your journey.

Meals included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
