Serengeti
National Park
The Serengeti National Park in Tanzania was established in 1952. It is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the great migration of wildebeest and zebra. The resident population of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and birds is also impressive. There’s a wide variety of accommodation available, from luxury lodges to mobile camps.
Ngorongoro
National Park
Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most likely areas in Tanzania to see the endangered Black Rhino, as a small population is thriving in this idyllic and protected environment. It is currently one of the few areas where they continue to breed in the wild. Your chances of encountering leopards here are also good, as well as fabulous black-maned lions. Many flamingos are also attracted to the soda waters of Lake Magadi.
Manyara
National Park
The park was gazetted as a National Park in 1960 and was declared a Man and Biosphere Reserve in 1981. The park covers an area of 648.7 km2 (402 sq miles), of which 262.7 km2 (163 sq miles) is covered by a lake and 386 km2 (240 sq miles) is dry land.
Tarangire
National Park
Tarangire National Park boasts one of the highest population densities of elephants in Tanzania, and its sparse vegetation, scattered with baobab and acacia trees, renders it a stunning and distinctive destination to explore.
Mkomazi
